Walk-To-School Day is an annual event in Brockport, New York aiming to promote healthy lifestyles. I was asked if I could design/fabricate a trophy to be given to the school with the largest percentage of walkers on Walk-To-School Day. Since walking to school is not only good for those doing the walking, it is also good for the environment, I decided to make the walkers for the trophy out of things from nature that you might find along the way as you walk—pinecones, acorns, and sticks.
Edward Lehman fabricated the wood base.
